Shattering Ice

This is my new entry for DolphinMoana's contest.

Didn't win. I actually didn't expect to, really. I'm not that much of an artist. I'll have a better chance with the writing contest, that DolphinMoana is talking about.

Anyways...

Po decided to go onto the ice, and found out later than it wasn't strong enough to hold him. So Shifu went out to rescue him, but the ice is continuing to break, and Po's paw just went under water. So he is about to bolt forward and cause more trouble.

I was just thinking and doodling and I finally got Shifu on all fours...quite by accident, and so I HAD to switch him to all fours for this scene.

I first just meant to redo Shifu, but then I redid the entire thing, I even edited the mountain wall behind them a bit. I even got to do more ice cracks...as you can see Po is the culprit for them.

Shifu had to go down on all fours so he wouldn't add to much weight to a certain spot and he is trying to lead Po back to shore.

I love Po's expression, kind of mixed with "Cold paw, cold paw, cold paw!" and the scared expression because of the cracks that are separating him from Shifu, and both from shore. And I liked how I got Shifu to look back at Po worriedly.

Overall, this was just FUN!
